ABOUT ME

and my path

I arrived here by way of an unplanned detour in life.

Like many women in midlife, I expected a few changes. But I didn't expect my body to become unrecognizable.

Intense symptoms began disrupting nearly every part of my life. I searched for answers through doctor visits, lab work, and specialist appointments, yet no one could fully explain why I felt the way I did.

I wasn't willing to accept that feeling exhausted, foggy, anxious, and unlike myself was simply my new normal.

So, I did what I've spent my entire career doing. I started asking better questions.

Out of necessity—and more than a little frustration—I immersed myself in research. I tracked symptoms, studied patterns, compared experiences, and explored the intersection of thyroid autoimmunity, perimenopause, and whole-person wellness.

What I discovered changed everything.

It wasn't just that I was navigating both perimenopause and Hashimoto's at the same time.

It was that these two conditions overlap in ways that can amplify one another, affecting many of the same biological systems and creating symptoms that are often misunderstood, minimized, or attributed to only one cause.

That realization became the turning point in my journey back to wellness.

But it also sparked a much bigger question.

How many other women were trying to solve the same puzzle?

The answer, I discovered, was far too many.

That's why I created Rewired Women.

For more than two decades, I worked in the life sciences industry helping organizations communicate complex ideas, navigate change, and translate information into meaningful action. Today, I bring that same skill set to women's health—combining evidence, pattern recognition, and practical guidance to help women better understand what's happening in their own bodies.

Along the way, I also became a Certified Wellness Professional, deepening my knowledge of whole-person wellness and the lifestyle factors that  support health during midlife. My goal isn't to chase trends or offer one-size-fits-all solutions. It's to help women make informed, confident decisions grounded in science, curiosity, and their own lived experience.

Here you'll find symptom decoders, practical wellness strategies, self-advocacy tools, and a growing collection of resources designed to help you connect the dots between perimenopause, Hashimoto's, and your unique health story.

You'll also find pieces of mine.

Because while research provides answers, lived experience provides perspective. Throughout this site, I'll occasionally share moments from my own journey—not because my story is the story, but because it has shaped the questions I ask, the patterns I notice, and the resources I create.

I believe every woman deserves more than symptom management. She deserves understanding.

I believe midlife isn't the beginning of the end.

It's an invitation to rewire what comes next—with greater knowledge, intention, and self-advocacy than the generations before us ever had.

Welcome to Rewired Women.

I'm so glad you're here.
